Dental Veneers

This incredibly popular cosmetic procedure is utilized by thousands of people, ranging from celebrities to parents. These thin, comfortable custom-made shells that cover the front surface of your tooth give your smile a completely new and improved look. Our veneers are made of tooth-colored materials and they have multiple uses, like improving the dimming color of your teeth or improving the shape/size of your teeth.

If you're looking for a smile makeover, our Kingman cosmetic dentists highly suggest to look into dental veneers for the first step.

Types of Veneers
There are two types of veneers that are commonly used for patients. A more durable and stain resistant option is porcelain veneers. The properties of this material help create a very natural-looking smile, making it hard for people to tell that much has changed about your smile (besides the fact that you're sharing your smile much more often!).

Another type of veneers is composite resin. These aren't made in a laboratory, but instead are directly applied to the teeth within a short amount of time. They're typically less expensive and have a shorter life span, but are still a viable option to hide discoloration or worn down teeth.

Considering Dental Veneers
What are some of the reasons you may be looking into getting dental veneers?

• Your teeth are stained or drastically discolored;
• Your teeth are crooked or misshapen;
• Your teeth have gaps or spaces between them;
• Your teeth are broken, cracked, or chipped

How Veneers are Placed
Two visits to Kingman Dental Group are typically required for dental veneers. During your first visit, there are several steps that need to be completed. First, your tooth is prepared to be fitted with a veneer, which involves trimming a portion of your tooth so the veneer can be properly bonded on top. Then, an impression is taken of your smile that's to be sent to the laboratory in order to create your custom-fitted veneer. You may receive a temporary veneer while waiting for your custom-made veneer to be shipped.

During your second visit, you'll have your temporary veneer removed if one was placed. Once we receive the custom veneer, we'll check to see if it fits well and if we're all happy with the way it appears in your smile. It's best not to adjust porcelain veneers after they've been bonded to your teeth, so we want to ensure adjustments are made beforehand and that you're excited about your new smile.

When you're satisfied with the look, shape, and feel of the veneer, it'll be bonded to your tooth and you'll leave our office with a shining, rejuvenating smile!
